Class level- beginner - intermediate, some throwing experience is helpful. This course will include 5 weeks of guided instruction to help you successfully make your own custom kitchenware set for your home. In this wheel throwing centered class each student will complete a matching dinnerware set including 2 plates, 2 bowls, 2 mugs, spoon & spoon rest.
Each student will work on a comprehensive design plan too create their unique tableware set, I.e colors, stamped or carved designs etc. repeated throughout their set.
Instructed by Lydia Hicks; a PNW based and inspired ceramist who has 11 years of ceramics experience and is passionate about fostering community and making beautiful wheel thrown pottery. You might find them making functional pieces on the wheel, Raku or wood-firing, or learning more about the multitude of other techniques potters utilize.
Class is held on Sundays from 5-8pm
