what does membership include?
24 hour access
Kadence Collective is a true makerspace. Often, learning a new art form is prohibitive just because life is busy and class times are limited. We strive to provide people the space and time to delve into an art without the confines of a schedule… and without destroying your house. Starting in September, access will be via door code.
scultpure + pottery
Nathan and Erin met through ceramics, so naturally Kadence is outfitted with pottery folks in mind too! We have a high-fire gas kiln (hard to find!) and monthly raku firings (our love language) as well as mid-fire electric firings and a variety of glazes for members free of charge.
room for works in progress
We have member lockers (lockable) and shelving (open) galore to store things like tools, paint, canvases and works in progress. Our workbenches have both compressed air and power coming from the ceiling so it’s easy to maneuver around the space even when several people are working.
gear galore
Our space is set up to have a well rounded and universal set of makers tools that will grow over time. We have basic woodworking, welding and ceramic tools that are free for members to use. We anticipate adding glass and textile stuff in the near future.
Can I bring a friend?
Wednesdays are our designated “bring a buddy” day in the studio. Through September, you can bring in a partner, friend or family member to hang out during staffed business hours.
membership discounts
Members will receive a 30% discount on classes if they want to try their hand at a new skill with guided instruction. We have BIG plans for really fun things in several mediums, like stained glass, painting, sculpting, and more.
Who we are
Kadence is owned and ran by Nathan and Erin - Arnada neighborhood art nerds who believe deeply in the power of community, accessibility, and growth.
Art isn’t just for the 1%. It’s for everyone, and we’re here to make it happen. It doesn’t matter what your media of choice is; clay, paint, wood, textiles, glass… we are here for it!
All the best hobbies outgrow the kitchen table, and we are here to bridge the gap. At any given time you might find people throwing on the wheel, sewing clothes, refinishing a woodworking project, sculpting a statue, or all of the above. Members age 18 and older can gain 24 hour access to the space after vetting and resident artists will be available for assistance during regular business hours.
Come for the vibe, stay for the people
chill on the couch. throw a pot. sculpt. sew. paint.
do a little of everything, or a lot of nothing.
